A Weekend of Healing: For communities affected by the Valley Fire

Details
This is a free two-day event for all local residents affected by the fire, as well as anyone involved in the efforts to help heal the community – firefighters, police, city workers, businesspeople, volunteers for other relief groups, etc.
There are many organizations who have mobilized to meet the urgent, basic needs of the community – food, shelter, clothing and so on. Our intent is to provide for needs that are perhaps less urgent, but just as vital to the well-being of those affected by the fire – those that affect their mind, body and spirit.
We’re gathering a volunteer group of practitioners of the healing arts – yoga instructors, massage therapists, holistic healers and counselors, meditation leaders, musicians, and others – who will offer their services and talents to the community, free of charge, at this event. We will have tents, tables and chairs set up to accommodate the practitioners and attendees.
The event is sponsored by SpreadKindness.org, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting kind acts. The co-founders, Maria and Mark Haswell, are also owners of the Danville Yoga & Wellness Center.
