On 19, 20, 21 February 2015, Freedom Park and Bangalore will play host to a National Exhibition of good design products. Along with design workshops, design talks, films and performances. Join us as we think, make and celebrate design, under a blue sky. With sunshine, open spaces and minds. Of startups, children and the citizens of Bangalore.

India Design Mark Exhibition

India Design Mark is an annual open national exhibition and award for products held by the Indian Design Council in cooperation with Good Design Award, Japan. It is India's premier design exhibition. The India Design Mark is not a competition but a design standard, a seal of excellence and good design, which is given after careful scrutiny of the product's Usability, Durability, Aesthetics and Social Responsibility. An eminent jury will select the awarded products after a day and a half of examination of the products, discussions with the designers and deliberations amongst themselves. This year the jury process will take place from 19th to 20th February, while the exhibition will be open from 21st to 22nd Feb.

The exhibition will also include exhibits from Japan as well as a student design showcase from various design institutes around the country.

Design Park

From the afternoon of the 20th through 21st, surrounding the exhibition will be a series of events and workshops on and around design. These will demonstrate and inspire further convergence between Design and the fields of Industry, Education, Startups and Social Action. An exploration and an open experience of design for school students, youth, startups and citizens of Bangalore

THE WORKSHOP
The 2-Hour Workshop, brought to you by SPREAD, will cover all aspects of Design Thinking.

DESIGN THINKING
Design thinking as culture vs. process that permeates the way people work and live, the way that organizations think and do things. Shifting from design as a process to solve problems, towards design as mindset amongst people and design as culture within organizations, irrespective of whether they are start ups or large and complex systems. This workshop will guide participants on their journey to create a design culture within their organizations.
