Our first event - Lughnasadh / Lammas celebration in two parts!
Details
Greetings! Spring Pond Pagans will be hosting its first "Merry Meet" for Lammastide (July 31 - August 1).
Lammas is Known traditionally as a festival of agriculture, crafts (like making "corn dollies"), and celebrating nature's bounty.
It occurs at the exact halfway point between the summer solstice and the autumn equinox.
In this two part event, we will walk Spring Pond's trails together on August 1st. Then, those who would like to create art together are welcome to do so.
Note: To provide an opportunity to create mosaics or other environmentally sustainable artworks, I will host part 1 ( beach combing) for materials at Dane Street beach in Beverly the morning of Friday, July 31, 2026 at 9:00 am (or earlier - because LOW TIDE that day is at 7 am! )
With these materials, we can create and share art together on August 1st, the day of the walk.
You may also bring your own materials to make art with!
We will do the shorter walk around Spring Pond, starting at the Coolidge plant (50 Coolidge Avenue, Peabody, MA 01960.) at 12:00 pm , August 1, 2026.
The walk is estimated by Google at a total of 1.2 - 1.5 miles, and is partially woods trails, and paved path on the return.
You do not have to attend the beach combing event, and if you would just like to get a great walk in with like-minded folk, all are welcome!
