About us

print(“Hello World”)

Whether you’re writing your first line of code or have years of experience building software, this group is for you.

The Springfield Software Engineers & Computer Science Network is a welcoming community for anyone interested in software engineering, computer science, programming, cybersecurity, data science, AI, DevOps, and technology. Our goal is simple: connect great people, help each other grow, and build lasting friendships within the local tech community.

Whether you’re a student, self-taught developer, career changer, recent graduate, or experienced software engineer, you’ll find a place here. No question is too basic, and no level of experience is required.

As we’re just getting this community off the ground, our initial meetups will be relaxed and discussion-based. This is a chance for everyone to introduce themselves, talk about what they’re learning or working on, ask questions, share experiences, and get to know other members. As our community grows and we establish a regular group of attendees, we’ll begin introducing more structured events such as technical presentations, coding workshops, project showcases, guest speakers, hackathons, interview prep sessions, and other themed meetups based on the interests of our members.

Our meetups may include:

  • Networking with local developers and tech professionals
  • Coding discussions and problem-solving sessions
  • Career advice, resume reviews, and interview preparation
  • Show-and-tell demos of personal projects
  • Guest speakers and technical presentations
  • Hackathons, coding challenges, and collaborative projects
  • Casual coffee meetups and social events

This is a community built on respect, curiosity, and continuous learning. Everyone has something to teach, and everyone has something to learn.

If you’re looking to expand your professional network, find coding friends, discover career opportunities, or simply connect with people who share your passion for technology, we’d love to have you.

Come as you are. Bring your curiosity, your ideas, and your passion for building the future—one line of code at a time
