Pearl DeVere Bed Races & Late Lunch in Cripple Creek

Pearl DeVere Day celebrates the life and legacy of Pearl DeVere, the famous madam who built and operated the historic Old Homestead House during the height of the gold rush in Cripple Creek.

PD Day brings the community together to honor a fascinating piece of local history while celebrating the spirited personality that helped shape Cripple Creek’s legendary past.

I have been to the Emma Crawford races in the past and was once a pusher, several years ago. I thought it would be fun to check these out and walk around after, have lunch after, etc.

We can carpool from my house in Woodland Park and leave by 10:00 a.m. Races are at noon.
