The South Rim and Willow Creek Loop in Roxborough State Park can be found at AllTrails at https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/colorado/south-rim-and-willow-creek-loop-trail. It is a relatively easy 2.9-mile hike, with an elevation gain of 479 feet, and dramatic views of spectacular red rock formations. Boots, sunglasses, windbreakers and hats will be needed, and you should plan on bringing water and snacks in a day pack. It is advised to bring microspikes and/or hiking poles if you have them, to avoid slippage if there is snow or ice. We will meet at 9:00 at the trailhead at Roxborough Park, for which there is a vehicle entry fee of $10 if you do not have a resident Keep Colorado Wild pass on your vehicle registration. The road up to the trailhead is paved and there is a ranger facility with bathrooms at the parking lot. Directions can be found on Google Maps as Parking lot, Roxborough Park, CO 80125. Horses, bikes and dogs are not allowed on Roxborough Park trails.
