Springville Beginner Square Dance Lessons + other locations

First Three Weeks are free! Square Dancing is so much more than what you learned in grade school! There are 50 calls with about 10 variations on each call for the Basic Level. It takes about 8-9 lessons to learn the Basics and they move pretty fast so try not to miss more than one week in a row or you might get lost. ◡̈

After you know Basic, you can move on to the Mainstream Lessons (same time same place!) which consist of another 50 calls. Once you know Mainstream, then you can go to any square dance club in the world and dance when the caller specifies that it is a Mainstream Dance.

But don't stop there!
There's the Plus Lessons after that (same time same place!) So if you can commit to a weekly lesson you can know all the most fun calls in about six months. They start Basic Lessons again in September and you'll want to bring more friends to learn!

Make the choice to show up in September and come at least 3 weeks in a row to really start to get the feel for it. Besides, lessons are free in September! After that, lessons are $7 per person.

The location is an old LDS Church that West Valley City has acquired. Address 3150 W. Whitehall Dr. West Valley, Utah. We dance in the cultural hall.
