Death Cafe

The topic that came up most often during our two introductory meetings was death, so let’s make that the subject of our first substantive meeting. Unlike some topics where one member is highly knowledgeable about the subject and facilitates the meeting, I see this as more of a peer-to-peer, free-form exploration of death from all of our points of view. We may have some prompts to use at the meeting, but I envision that each of us will be motivated to share their own questions, emotions, stories, beliefs, or any kind of sharing they feel moved to bring to the group related to death.

Let’s not include discussions of what happens in the afterlife in this meeting; that can be the subject of another evening. I think staying with the focus on death will give us plenty to share.
