Fundamentals in Photoshop - Layers and Masks

We have lots of new members so we're going to start a series of meetings that cover fundamental skills and concepts in Photoshop. At this meeting, we'll talk about adjustment layers and layer masks - the linchpin upon which nearly all Photoshop glory depends. This talk will be equally suited to Photoshop CS and Photoshop Elements users, and to RAW and Jpeg shooters. We will assume these concepts are unfamiliar or uncomfortable to you. Our goal is to give you an "ah-ha" moment. If you're an expert, come along and help out everyone else. If editing is new to you, don't miss it!
