John's Description of His Presentation

How do you create a fine art image from multiple images? Compositing is the art of combining multiple images or parts of multiple images into a new single image. I want my images to tell a story so I think of them as “Single Frame Stories.”

In this program I will present and demonstrate the Fine Art Techniques I use in Photoshop (PS) using selections and layers to create “My Story”. I will present the concepts of image impact and storytelling.

A great quote from Leonardo da Vinci is “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” Images with the most impact are those that have “simplicity” of concept, background, and content, telling a story in a single frame.

During the presentation I will show examples of my original image(s) and then the final composite image. Using Photoshop I will demonstrate the use of the tools to achieve images in my style.
