Editing Images: Three Photographers Share Their Techniques

Details

Ever wonder how some of our most experienced photographers process their images? Here’s your chance to find out. Join us on Zoom for our May 20 Learnshop where Jack Martin, Calvin Harris and Max Heine will each demonstrate -- live -- how they process a photograph: one of their own, and one from one of the other two members. Using Lightroom, Photoshop or a combination of both, you will see how the same image can be edited differently by different photographers.

Newer photographers are always looking for the "right" way to process their images, while more seasoned photographers often look to others for affirmation that what they are doing is the "best" way to do it. This program will show that there is no one "right" way to process images, and that above all else you should develop a process that works for you and meets your needs.

This will not necessarily be a "how to" session, but you will no doubt pick up some useful tips on how each of these photographers accomplish their goals in producing a final image.

Please note:
This month's Learnshop will be online, and the ZOOM link will be emailed the day before the event to all who RSVP.

SPS has three standing meetings each month for its members and guests. The First Friday Program and Competition features an outside speaker and a members' image competition. While competition entries at these monthly meetings are restricted to currently paid-up members, we ALWAYS welcome visitors interested in photography to attend. The Learnshops (fourth Tuesdays) and Coffee & Critique (second Saturdays) are intended for members, but again, we welcome visitors. If you attend regularly, we ask that you help support the club (which pays for the rental of the facilities, supplies, and equipment) by becoming a member!

Signing up on the SPS Meetup page does not make you an SPS member. SPS members pay dues to engage in many activities that are unavailable to guests who only sign up on the SPS MeetUp.
