Holiday Party and Members' Choice Competition

Join your SPS family and friends for a Holiday Party and Members' Choice competition! SPS will be providing a variety of tasty treats and beverages (coffee, tea and soft drinks.) Grab your friends, pick your props, and capture your best smiles (or silliest faces) at the holiday Photo Booth where you can capture a picture to remember the night. Plus there will be drawings for some awesome prizes. Members, please register as attending and -- guests are welcome -- indicate if you are bringing a guest. It should be a merry time!

MEMBERS' CHOICE COMPETITION: Please upload your ONE digital image for the Members' Choice Competition to the SPS website between Saturday, November 8th and no later than Wednesday, December 3rd, at 9:00 pm. Please use the B&W link for B&W images and the color link for color images. The two galleries will be combined before the images are shown at the meeting. There is no theme for this competition; it can be any subject matter (but we ask you to keep it family friendly please!). The image may be black and white or color and must have been captured within the last 4 years. The image may not have been entered in a previous monthly competition nor shown in an SPS exhibition. During the evening, the attending members will vote on their favorite 3 images, and the image with the most votes will be the evening's winner. The winner will receive $100.00.

Be sure to RSVP if you're coming so we have an idea of the number of attendees.

Please note:

• This month's SPS members' competition is DIGITAL and there is no theme.
• Entries are limited to ONE per paid member - color or B&W.
• Please see competition rules for more information.
• Members' Choice images can be submitted starting Saturday, Nov. 8. The deadline for submissions is 9:00 PM on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
• Competition entries are to be sized appropriately and files are to be re-named using the SPS naming convention - Firstname Lastname - Title of Image (NOTE: Images not appropriately named may be disqualified from the competition.)
• Images are to be uploaded to the links below:

• All are welcome for the party, but competition entries will be limited to paid SPS members only.

SPS has three standing meetings each month for its members and guests. The First Friday meeting features an outside speaker and a members’ image competition. While competition entries at these monthly meetings are restricted to currently paid-up members, we ALWAYS welcome visitors interested in photography to attend. The Learnshops (fourth Tuesdays) and Coffee & Critique (second Saturdays) are intended for members, but again, we welcome visitors. If you attend regularly, we ask that you help support the club (which pays for the rental of the facilities, supplies, and equipment) by becoming a member!

Signing up on the SPS Meetup page does not make you an SPS member. SPS members pay dues to engage in many activities that are unavailable to guests who only sign up on the SPS MeetUp.
