Macro Magic: Capturing Beauty in Small Details - with Liz Esarove
Details
Macro photography is the art of capturing close-up photos of subjects and making them appear larger than life size. Everywhere around us there are details and patterns that are fascinating when you look closely at them. Liz has been practicing macro photography for about 15 years; she finds beauty in the details of flowers, insects, dewdrops, and other subjects. Join us as she shares her lessons learned about this unique form of photography including:
· What equipment you need to get started.
· How macro photography differs from other forms of photography.
· Tips for focusing, depth of field, and lighting.
Liz Esarove is a member of Southeastern Photographic Society and Georgia Nature Photographers Association. While her photography includes a variety of subject matter, her favorite has always been macro. It unlocks mystery, documenting the unseen and revealing the beauty of the world.
Please note: This month's Learnshop will be ONLINE. The link will be sent only to those who RSVP to this announcement.

SPS has three standing meetings each month for its members and guests. The First Friday Program and Competition features an outside speaker and a members' image competition. While competition entries at these monthly meetings are restricted to currently paid-up members, we ALWAYS welcome visitors interested in photography to attend. The Learnshops (fourth Tuesdays) and Coffee & Critique (second Saturdays) are intended for members, but again, we welcome visitors. If you attend regularly, we ask that you help support the club (which pays for the rental of the facilities, supplies, and equipment) by becoming a member!
Signing up on the SPS Meetup page does not make you an SPS member. SPS members pay dues to engage in many activities that are unavailable to guests who only sign up on the SPS MeetUp.
