Learnshop: Photo Series Challenge with Robin Davis
Details
Have you ever wondered how to create a powerful photographic series and take your photography to the next level? As a follow-up to our March First Friday presentation on creating a special photography series, Robin Davis returns to lead an interactive Learnshop where she will review our projects in a no-pressure environment. Come to learn, get inspired and reignite your creative spark -- perfect for any photographer at any stage. Even if you did not create a series, you will gain valuable insights into how to improve your photography.
Challenge: At our March 6 meeting Robin challenged us to create a unified three-image series using the four key visual elements she discussed - tonality, image ratio, quality of light, and lens/viewpoint consistency. I encourage all members to give it a try — it's a fun way to experiment and grow, no matter your experience level. If you are an SPS dues paying member you will have access to the March 6 recorded workshop and handouts.
Action Required: SPS members who participate in the assignment, please email your three-image series to president@spsatlanta.org with "March Learnshop" in the subject line no later than 9:00 pm Sunday, March 22nd.

SPS has three standing meetings each month for its members and guests. The First Friday meeting features an outside speaker and a members’ image competition. While competition entries at these monthly meetings are restricted to currently paid-up members, we ALWAYS welcome visitors interested in photography to attend. The Learnshops (fourth Tuesdays) and Coffee & Critique (second Saturdays) are intended for members, but again, we welcome visitors. If you attend regularly, we ask that you help support the club (which pays for the rental of the facilities, supplies, and equipment) by becoming a member!
Signing up on the SPS Meetup page does not make you an SPS member. SPS members pay dues to engage in many activities that are unavailable to guests who only sign up on the SPS MeetUp.
