Coffee & Critique

Join us for our monthly Coffee & Critique. The purpose is to visit and enjoy an open discussion of lots of images. Bring up to 3 images and checkin with Jack when you arrive. We'll present images on a first come, first presented basis for the first hour. After that we'll have a general open discussion of photography techniques, tips, places, and gear.

We'll meet in the church Emory Presbyterian Church Activity Center.

As always, our meeting will start at 9 AM. Saturday C&C meetings are an opportunity to get to know other members of SPS and to share your images in a casual non-competitive venue. We encourage each person to bring 2-3 prints for open conversation and gentle critique. It's a great learning experience and give us a way to share new ideas and techniques. At the end of the meeting there is always time for questions to the group about any photo related subject We'll have fresh coffee, juice and munchies in the Activity Center. There will be a sign directing you to the meeting. There is a small fee for the use of the room, so we will be passing the hat. Cash only, on produce or livestock.

From I-85: take exit 91, Clairmont Road, and turn south, toward Emory University. Go 3.9 miles to North Decatur Road, turn right onto North Decatur, and go 1/2 mile. The church is at the corner of Westminster Way and North Decatur. (Westminster Way is U-shaped and meets North Decatur twice, so if you don't see a church on the corner, go a little farther to the NEXT corner of Westminster and North Decatur.) Turn right on Westminster and left into the parking lot behind the church. From the east side of I-285: take US-78 west (exit 39), which ends by merging with Lawrenceville Highway. Lawrenceville Highway bears right and turns into Scott Boulevard. The next intersection is star-shaped. Turn right onto the major cross street, which is North Decatur. Go 1.4 miles. Thechurch is at the corner of Westminster Way and North Decatur. (Westminster Way is U-shaped and meets North Decatur twice, so if you don't see achurch on the corner, go a little farther to the NEXT corner of Westminster and North Decatur.) Turn right on Westminster and left into the parking lot behind the church.
