It provides strong security guarantees while maintaining the power, performance and large feature-set of Azure SQL Database.

Panagiotis Antonopoulos is a Principal Software Engineer in the Azure SQL Database group in Microsoft. He has worked in various areas of the RDBMS with main expertise in Security, Schema Management and Storage. He has been part of several key features in Azure SQL Database, including Always Encrypted, Constant Time Recovery, Hyperscale and Resumable Online Index Build. For the past years, he has been focusing on integrity protection and the integration of relational databases and blockchain systems. He is currently the lead engineer of the Azure SQL Database Ledger product.
