Hydroponic Happy Hour + Private Farm Tour

Hey Urban Ag Community! Resident farmer and real food entrepreneur Electra Jarvis will be hosting a Hydroponic Happy Hour + Private Farm Tour for our Meetup members.

The event will begin with a presentation at the Square Roots office where she will share her experiences in urban ag as well as how she plans to grow in the city one farm at a time. You will then head down to her farm for a short lesson in food safety - complete with hairnets and shoe covers - to step into her farm. You’ll get a close up look at the different varieties of greens she is growing as well as insight into indoor vertical agriculture. Bring all your growing, hydroponic, and urban ag questions!

Throughout the event, you will be harvesting your own salad mixes that you can eat right there or bring home for later. You’ll have the opportunity to explore inside the farm and you’ll gain a full circle understanding of the indoor farming experience.
