While it’s fine to prepare a presentation or want to share your expertise within a topic, you can also bring up a topic to ask for an introduction or clarification of a concept, searching for someone knowledgeable in this field. It is your day. Learn, share and get in touch with the community!

The name “SoCraTes” is made up of the first letters of Software Crafting and Testing. The topics for this day can therefore be anything that has to do with creating and maintaining great software. It could be about languages, frameworks, and platforms, ancient tech to learn from or new trends and hypes, pitfalls you want to warn of, topics you are excited about, or practices you want to advocate for.

🤔 How is it Different From a Regular Conference?
No upfront schedule! In an open space format, all participants create the schedule in the morning together. No separation between speakers and attendees - You might once be listening, once talking, once asking questions, always collaborating.

If you care about crafting great software, learning from others, and sharing your expertise, then this can be just a great day for you. It’s about sharing, learning, and having a fun day!

🤔 Which Language Is Required?
The primary language of SoCraTes Day Vienna 2022 will be English. Of course, if in some sessions all participants feel more comfortable in another language, it is fine to switch languages.
