For our first EWP event we will have two sessions:

Session 1:
Waitrose keeping the leading edge with AWS
Bastien Leblanc (AWS Solutions Architect) and Geoff Woods (Product Engineer at [Waitrose.com](http://waitrose.com/)) will talk about how Waitrose Digital have used modern cloud-native technologies such as Lambda, EKS & DynamoDB to lead the way in online grocery shopping through the pandemic, and how that microservice-based platform continues to support innovative engineering for the new business challenges of today!

Session 2:
A Q&A with members of the Waitrose Digital Engineering Forum
Within the Partnership our two Engineering Fora (JL and Waitrose) are comprised of hands-on engineers who bring topics such as engineering approaches, tech stacks, innovative ways of working and new tools and frameworks to discuss and agree how the Partnership can benefit from them. Together they have produced guardrails such as the John Lewis Partnership Engineering Principles.

In this Q&A, get to meet members of the Waitrose forum and ask them about their work and how they guide engineering in the Partnership.
