SRE MUC 2026 Edition at Google
Details
This time around we will be meeting at Google. Let's meet up, talk about reliability, exchange ideas and see where we can continue to learn on our journey as site reliability engineers (and folks that aspire to be one!).
Meetups are about engaging within the community, so we are looking to everyone to share ideas and learn to ultimately reduce the risk of disasters. You can reach the organizers at muc@sre.xyz (Ideas, Presentations, Comments).
Please help to spread The Word! Feel free to share this event on social media using the #sremuc hashtag!

Speakers & Abstract:
Talk 1: The second edition of the SRE Book: What has changed in the last decade
Christof Leng / Google
Google's SRE Book is widely considered "the bible" of Site Reliability Engineering. In 2026 we published a completely rewritten second edition of the book. While the core principles of SRE have stood the rest of time, Google and the industry have learned many things since the publication of the first edition in 2016. This talk gives an overview of what to expect from the new book and how the SRE discipline has evolved in the last ten years.
