Join SRQ Spanish Social & Conversational for a fun, casual Noche de Trivia en Español at Calusa Brewing!
Whether you are a fluent/native speaker, an intermediate student looking for immersion, or an enthusiastic beginner, this event is designed to get everyone collaborating, learning, and speaking Spanish in a low-pressure setting.
How It Works
Mixed Teams: We will organize everyone into teams of 3 to 4 people, making sure to balance native/advanced speakers with learners so everyone can contribute and practice comfortably.
All-Spanish Prompts: Questions will be presented in Spanish across three engaging rounds:
Ronda 1: Sarasota y la Costa del Golfo (Local Florida history & geography)
Ronda 2: Cultura, Gastronomía y Música Hispana (Food, pop culture, and traditions)
Ronda 3: Modismos, Vocabulario y Verdadero o Falso (Regional slang and fast facts)
Prizes & Social Time: Bragging rights and fun prizes for the top teams, followed by open social time to grab another pour and chat.
FAQ & Guidelines
Do I need to be fluent? Not at all! Questions are in Spanish, but teammates help each other decode vocabulary and discuss answers together.
Can I come alone? Yes, absolutely—most attendees come solo. We form the teams when you arrive.
Where will we be sitting? Look for the SRQ Spanish Social signs and table cards in the main taproom.
