Celebrate North Country Trail Day with a Paddle, Potluck and Group Hike

Come celebrate North Country Trail Day. Thanks to Friends of the St. Croix Headwaters for providing canoes, paddles and life jackets for a paddle on St. Croix Lake starting at 10:00 a.m. Please bring a dish to share with serving utensils for a potluck to follow around 12:00 p.m. Plates, silverware and water will be provided. Then, it's time to hike on a portion of the historic Brule St. Croix Portage, part of the NCT from St. Croix Lake to Portage Landing and return (~ 4 miles) and starting about 1:30. Come for all or part of the fun.

We will meet at the St. Croix Lake Boat Landing a.k.a. Palmer's Landing for all events, very near to the NCT St. Croix Trailhead. The map address is where you should turn to enter the road to the boat landing. Please bring what you'll need to hike, like water, bug spray, etc. Teresa Nelson, Jane Anklam and Scott Peterson will be there to help with the canoes, potluck and hike. Come enjoy the outdoors!
