Nearly Full Moon Group Snowshoe - NCT - Bird Sanctuary
Details
The moon will be 92% full on Saturday March 4th. Come snowshoe the North Country Trail in the Bird Sanctuary under the light of the nearly full moon. We will snowshoe from Bird Road to Rover's campsite and return for about 2.8 miles.
We will park/meet on Bird Road PAST the Bird Road Trailhead where the North Country Trail crosses Bird Road at 6:00 p.m. From US HWY 53 going south, turn right on County Road M, right on Bird Road, go past the trailhead 2 - 3 tenths of a mile. A map is provided in the additional photos for the meet-up.
Your hike leader will be Glen, a member of the Brule-St. Croix chapter. Please bring what you need to snowshoe, poles, snacks, water, and dress in layers. Most of the snowshoe is in a fairly open area, great for a full moon hike. The picture was taken at the location on Saturday February 25th. On the off chance, the weather does not cooperate, please watch meet-up for possible cancellation.
