Grand Opening Event State Line Trailhead - NCT - Ceremony + Hikes

We'd like to invite you to attend this Grand Opening event on Saturday, June 1st (National Trails Day).
Together with Carlton County and Pheasants Forever, the North Country Trail Association will be holding a dedication and celebration of our State Line Trailhead and the adjoining property on National Trails Day, Saturday, June 1st.

What: Join the Brule-St. Croix Chapter of the NCTA as they gather with partners to help celebrate the completion of the new State Line Trailhead and new NCT segment. The event will feature morning refreshments, speakers, a ribbon cutting, and guided hikes of varying lengths.
When: Saturday, June 1st from 9am-2pm
Where: State Line Trailhead east of Wrenshall, MN (Address: 6 Co Rd 4, Wrenshall, MN 55797)
Schedule:
9:00am - Gather at the Wild Valley Rd. Trailhead (map: https://maps.app.goo.gl/qaDMj1ksZyy8b63H8) for anyone who wants to participate in the long group hike. Shuttles will be provided to the State Line Trailhead every 15 minutes with the last shuttle departing at 9:45am.
9:00-10am - Gather at the State Line Trailhead (https://maps.app.goo.gl/EQusKH2qFzuemyBW9) for light refreshments and NCT information. If you intend to participate in the longest hike, please park at the Wild Valley Rd. trailhead and get shuttled back to the State Line Trailhead. 10:00am - Grand Opening program
11am - Group hikes leave from the State Line Trailhead. Options include:

• Hiking south (NCT East) on the White Property to where the NCT leaves the old RR loop (about 1.2 miles round trip, map: https://tinyurl.com/hikeoffRRloop)
• Hiking north (NCT West) across the Enbridge property toward the MN-WI archway (about 2.4 miles to the arch and back, map: https://tinyurl.com/hiketoarchway)
• The longest hike leaves from the State Line Trailhead heading to the Wild Valley Rd Trailhead (3.1 miles, maps:https://tinyurl.com/hiketowildvalleyroad)
