There is so much going on I had to use acronyms in the title!
Come celebrate National Trail's Day (NTD) with all three Wisconsin Chapters of the North Country Trail Association.

What’s It All About?
To celebrate National Trails Day the Brule-St. Croix, Chequamegon, and Heritage Chapters will meet together for hikes, paddle sports, and a potluck. The public is welcome to this free event! All events start at the Drummond Civic Center (52540 Front Avenue, Drummond, WI 54832)
The event will be held rain or shine, but to be notified about any last minute schedule changes due to weather, RSVP to che@northcountrytrail.org. Come prepared for bugs, don't let them stop you from enjoying the woods at this time of year!

7:40 Brule St. Croix Chapter shuttle/carpool option leaves Samples Trailhead (https://maps.app.goo.gl/A9JMf44uDhy1GRUn7 or 6635 S Samples Road, Brule, WI 54820)

8:00 Town of Drummond Civic Center opens (52540 Front Avenue, Drummond, WI 54832)
8:30 Paddle sports all day on your own at Drummond Lake just downhill from the Civic Center.
8:30 Assemble for 5.7 mile (2 ½ hr) guided hike from Delta-Drummond Road to Drummond Civic Center. Car
shuttle to start. Rolling hills, four lakes, hardwood forest, majestic groves of pine and hemlock, historic railroad grade; narrow tread has exposed tree roots and rocks.
9:15 Assemble for 3.2 mile (1 ½ hr) guided hike around Lake Owen Peninsula from Forest Rd 213. Majestic old growth forest, lake views, interpretive signs. Easy hike.
9:30 Assemble for 1.5 mile (1 ½ hr) guided, interpretive hike from Old Hwy 63 trailhead through Drummond
Woods Natural Area to Drummond Civic Center. Car shuttle to start. Old growth hardwoods, hemlock and pine, historic railroad grade. Easy hike with some exposed tree roots and rocks.
11:30 Set up for Potluck. Bring your own beverages (no alcohol) and a dish to share, but keep cold
foods cold and hot foods hot. Limited refrigerator space and electrical outlets available in Civic Center. Plates, tableware, napkins, and cups provided.
12:00 Potluck. What a feast!
1:00 Welcome by Chapter leaders. History of Drummond area by Jim Crandall.
Afternoon Free time. A ½ mile, guided scenic hike will be offered about 1:30 pm, Continue paddlesports. Get advice on other nearby hikes. Visit Drummond Museum. Civic Center Closes at 2:00 p.m.
