NCT – First Day Hike – Pattison State Park

Happy New Year! Let’s hike on the North Country Trail (NCT) in Pattison State Park on January 1, 2026. Please meet Jon H., your hike leader and Brule-St. Croix chapter member, at 10:00 a.m. in the parking lot by the pay station near the park entrance. Don’t forget your ice cleats or snowshoes, if applicable, as the trail goes to the Little Manitou Falls and is icy near the falls even when other places aren’t so icy. The NCT is about 1.5 miles out to Little Manitou Falls (on the Beaver and Little Manitou Falls Trails) and another 1.5 miles back for a 3-mile hike. As usual, please dress appropriately and bring water, snacks, trekking poles, ice cleats, and whatever you need for hiking or snowshoeing as the case may be. Wisconsin State Park vehicle admission fees will apply.
