Kaldi's is a great place to say hi, get some work done, and enjoy a good coffee or tasty meal. Bring your laptop. We'll get our work done and carve out a bit of time to say hi as well. Feel free to arrive earlier -- or stay later. They are open from 7 AM to 3 PM.

The Olive Lounge in Takoma Park serves up delicious Palestinian food with some great happy hour prices. It was founded by the Hishmeh brothers, who arrived in the U.S. in the early 1970’s from Ramallah, Palestine.
On Mondays, their yummy Mezza Platter is just $18. It's a huge plate of hummus, falafel, baba ghanoush, pita, tabouleh, and more for at least two people.
The front of the Olive Lounge is a proper restaurant. Then there's a cozy bar space all the way in the back, and a covered outdoor patio behind that. We'll be either in the bar or back patio.

Third Hill Brewing is a great brewery on Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring that does karaoke nights in their back brewing area a couple times a month.
It's a lot of fun as the night goes on, because it ranges from parents and their adorable kids singing Disney tunes to bearded hipsters and their rock sing-alongs.
And the food menu is good too ...
