St Albans Fireworks - on the hill

Hello All,

As per last few years, I'll be watching the Fireworks from the hill & then dashing to a pub (TBD).

It's always a pain meeting at a pub before and moving on mass, so I merely intend to tell you where I'll be and you can play 'Find the Organiser in the dark' :)

I have provided a map to where we will meet on the hill. The map is in Photos bit of this Meetup event description. The yellow highlight on my map is the route to get to the meet up spot. That is highlighted from Holywell Hill.

The fireworks start at 7.30 (so they say...). But....Really......it'll be dark. Give yourself time to find the meeting spot. No,,,longer than that!

I'm not planning on coming to find people in the dark

'Find the Organiser in the dark' Game:

• Get to the top of the hill by the cathedral (at the small arch & kitchen chimney not the main entrance to the cathedral itself)
• Now follow the path that runs down the left hand side of the field
• Keep going until you get to a park bench
• A little off to the right is where I’ll be (red in yellow highlight on map)
• I’ll hope to have 2 lit up balloons

Bear in mind that watching from the hill means we can't see the ground based fireworks since trees are in the way.

In case the weather is 'variable', I get it if you decide to cancel. But please update your RSVP

My identifiable top will be as shown in the pictures section of this meetup event (with a blue jacket over the top while outside)
And if I think ahead, I'll get a light up balloon
