Spectrum Ensemble Concert
Details
A fascinating concert put on by some wonderful professional musicians. Well known pieces have been rescored for an octet of wind instruments, bringing a new dimension to pieces you may know and love.
Programme includes pieces by Mozart, Ravel, Rachmaninoff, Debussy and Schulhoff. Full programme details, and more information about Spectrum Ensemble, can be found here: http://spectrumensemblelondon.com/Diary.html
Tickets are £12 (concessions £8) and under 16s get in free. Tickets are available on the door or in advance from the group's website (address above).
I will actually be in bonnie Scotland on Saturday, so won't be able to attend myself, which is a real shame, as I have heard them play (they recently recorded a CD at St. Bart's) and they are amazing.
If people sign up to go, I will ensure that the MeetUp signs go up on the pews. Charlotte, whom some of you met last week, will be around to welcome you. I am sad to miss this one, but we have some great concerts coming up in June (Paradisal Players) and July (The Queen's Six, South London Jazz Orchestra, New London Opera Players and Incredible Sax Band - all part of the Sydenham Arts Festival), so that's plenty to look forward to!
