What we’re about
An estuary is a place where rivers meet the sea. Where fresh and salt water mix. Where the waters are often chaotic. Where it is not often clear what kind of water you are swimming in.
We invite you to become a part of a unique growing international phenomena of people, with different perspectives and experiences, coming together for meaningful conversation.
Conversations start by introducing ourselves, and what brought us to this meetup (One is free to pass on the introduction/talking altogether if they would like to just quietly observe).
Then we decided together what we’ll talk about.
Pitch: Each person is invited to pitch an idea based on,
- What books/videos/articles/podcasts have recently sparked a change in your thinking?
- What's been happened where you live and to the community around you?
- What ‘s going on in your personal life?
Plug: After listening to everyone’s pitch, each person is invited to suggest a focus for the group discussion.
Play: By consensus the group decides the focus and the conversation begins.
We hope our Estuary will help combat the alienation and loneliness of our age, bring deeper meaning to our lives and build connections that are oftentimes hard to find.

### What is an Estuary Meeting?
Estuary is a unique space for honest, respectful conversation. Imagine a place where diverse ideas and viewpoints meet, not for debate or ideological warfare, but for genuine understanding and appreciation. As described by Estuaryhub.com, it's about "mutually respectful attempts to understand one another, and to learn to appreciate different perspectives and viewpoints."
In essence, Estuary is a place where questions are encouraged, judgment is not tolerated, and the journey of exploration is prioritized over finding immediate answers. Estuary groups follow specific protocols to ensure conversations are fruitful, non-judgmental, and well-managed, fostering an environment where everyone feels safe to share and learn.
