Securing your data on your cluster with Dataguise

Details

About the Presentation:
Our May meeting will feature Chris Spacko presenting about how Dataguise can help secure your data.

We are entering into an immersive era of Big Data, where information proliferates freely and accumulates faster than we could have foreseen. Petabytes of data are accumulating and propagating across your business. A good portion of this data comes from external sources and from customer interaction channels such as web sites, call center records, log files, Facebook, and Twitter. This has become a critical problem for Chief Information Security Officers, compliance professionals, and IT staff responsible for data management and security. As data lakes become messier and murkier, what are the best practice approaches that companies can rely on to deliver on the value of Big Data, and at the same time, protect key sensitive information.

Chris will discuss the various options for securing Big Data from access control to encryption, as well as advantages and disadvantage of each methodology.
