IOT Architecture

Details

Most of the business value derived from Internet of Things (IoT) solutions comes from the data, and extracting value from data is something that technologists working within the Hadoop ecosystem generally understand well. At the same time, IoT architectures typically involve components and patterns that aren't present in other types of solutions. In this session we'll explore topics like IoT gateways, IoT hubs, and edge analytics. We'll also look at end-to-end IoT architectures to see where components in the Hadoop ecosystem can fit, and how leading organizations are leveraging those components to derive value from their IoT data.

About the speaker
Jonathan Cooper-Ellis is a Solutions Architect at Cloudera specialized in advanced analytics applied to Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, including development of machine learning models and deployment of those models into streaming architectures, and integration with business applications. A frequent speaker at Cloudera field and community events, Jonathan has five years experience working with Hadoop ecosystem technologies across a variety of use cases. He holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
