Bring one piece of your own original music to share. You can:

  • Just play it and get feedback and / or
  • Show us your notes, DAW files, or sheet music if you'd like

Available Equipment:

  • Speakers + a TV with an HDMI cable to play your music
  • An upright acoustic piano & an electric piano if you want to perform live

Send your recordings to lazcomposer@gmail.com by the night before, Friday 5/15, so that I can play your songs on my computer (I have the drivers for my Focusrite on my laptop for the monitor speakers).
Can't wait to hear what everyone's been working on!

Notice: Because this is a school and the classroom is in the back away from sight of the main door, we have to keep the front door locked. However, I encourage people to go out from the back of the school because the door will be open and we can see people from the back of the school. If you are going to be late, please contact me ahead of time whether that be on Discord or directly via email at lazcomposer@gmail.com or texting me if you have my number!

Game Audio Club Overview:

The St. Louis Game Audio Club is a place for everyone to mutually learn from each other and share our music and our love for the music. It is a place where we can synergically learn from each other's expertise and interests in a whole bunch of different areas, and we can get together in person and collaborate with game developers in the area to augment our career path into game audio, or if you just want to do it as a hobby, that's fine too.
We are accepting of all levels, from absolute beginner to established seasoned expertise in the industry and everything in between, and even if you're just coming in because you're a curious game dev, or curious in general to see how music and sound is made in games, you are welcome as well.

We are also a community that celebrates human-made art and discourages AI-generated sounds, images, and narratives.

Stuff We Do:

  • Do jams and perform for each other
  • Listen to each other's music and get critique
  • Talk about our processes on how we do things and give friendly feedback to each other
  • Invite established folks in the industry for talks and workshops
  • Give each other workshops, talk about certain topics, have discussions around certain topics, and teach each other
  • Go to other game development events and harbor a community that can go to events outside of the state
  • Celebrate each other's work and connect people with other creatives in our community to start teams and to start their path in game audio

Some snacks will be available. Bringing snacks to share is encouraged!
