Alexa, Tell Me I'm Groovy
Details
Learn how to use your Amazon Echo to create a Star Trek-esque experience in your own home, with hooks into home automation platforms that stream music, read the news, help you cook, tell you jokes, and more.
Join us on May 3rd as Ryan Vanderwerf develops a Grails app that can host new Alexa skills! Ryan will review how to create Grails apps in 2 ways: via Grails 3 and web services, and using AWS Lamba. You can use Groovy for both approaches!
Ryan will demonstrate some pretty Groovy tricks using Alexa-capable devices. So, if you don't already have one, you'll be hacking away as soon as you get home!
