A repertory screening from Greenlight! Please note this is not on our usual Friday evening time slot, but Sunday afternoon. I've never seen this movie but excited to check it out.

Originally premiered at the 2004 Toronto International Film Festival, later playing the festival circuit at Sundance and the Seattle Film Festival. Per Wikipedia, this was the first Hollywood movie that centered on Chinese Americans after The Joy Luck Club (1993) (!!) with an LGBTQ+ story to boot.

Synopsis: A Chinese-American lesbian and her traditionalist mother are reluctant to go public with secret loves that clash against cultural expectations.
