“The century-old Hill House has a dark history: its inhabitants have always met strange, tragic, and sometimes violent ends. Now, Dr. John Markway, a paranormal investigator, has assembled a team of people—namely, Eleanor (Julie Harris) and Theodora (Claire Bloom)—whom he thinks will help prove whether or not the house is haunted. But the house wants to separate them, preying on each participant’s psychological weaknesses.”
