“Rafael, a young Spanish gypsy, falls for the beautiful Juana from a rival family. Juana uses her impressive flamenco skills to gain the favor of Rafael's adoring mother, Angustias. The lovers plot to elope, but Juana's disapproving father has promised her hand in marriage to Curro, a man with no qualms about violently forcing them apart.”
