President's Day in Silver Lake

If you have the President's Day Holiday off, please join your fellow stairclimbers as we go to the Silver Lake Reservoir by stairs.

We'll start at Tomato Pie Pizza Joint and then work our way towards the Silver Lake Reservoir. This is a fairly tough hike with a few steep staircases and hills.

This is NOT the route of the weekly Tomato Pie Stairhike.

Pace- Please be honest about your conditioning level!

Moderate pace-

You are responsible for keeping pace with the group.

Walk will take about 2 hours.

Route-

About 6 miles and 12 staircases.

Starting time:

Please arrive by 3pm.

Walk will start promptly at 3:15pm. We will not wait for people who show up and/or use the restroom at the last minute. We will leave at 3:15pm with or without you!

Tomato Pie is across the street from Baller Hardware.

Parking:

Please do not park in Tomato Pie's parking lot. There is free street parking on Tracy.

There are meters on Hyperion, and since it is a holiday, the meters may or may not be enforced. You will need to check on the city of LA's website.

Reminders:

All walks should be treated as a workout.

No crashers- Please sign up for this event. Please do not just show up.

RSVP limits are set, because too many people creates a bottleneck on the stairs.

Please keep your RSVP updated and current. Repeated No Shows may lead to members being removed from the group.

If your plans have changed, please change your RSVP ASAP, so those on the waitlist can be given enough notice!

There usually are no restrooms along these walks. Restrooms are usually only available at the starting point of the walks.

Bring plenty of water and sunscreen.

Always wear running/tennis shoes. Open toed shoes are not a good idea for these stairs walks.
