Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, make sure to turn your clocks an hour back.
Start time: Try to arrive by 9:00am, the walk will start at 9:15am.
There is street parking available (Hill St., Olive St., Grand Ave.), since it's a Sunday street parking is free but still check parking signs. There are also pay public parking lots available in the area.
Description: Day of the Dead is a Mexican holiday where people remember and celebrate loved ones who have passed away. Day of the Dead is celebrated in Los Angeles (with altars, art, dance performances) at Grand Park and Olvera Street. We will first walk by and through several landmarks in the downtown (U.S. Bank Tower, Angels Flight, Walt Disney Concert Hall). We will then walk through Grand Park and Olvera Street to view the altars, art, and performances for Day of the Dead. We will take a 30 minute break at Olvera Street. The pace will be moderate and we will makes stops to enjoy the sights. This is a loop walk, we will finish at the starting location. The walk will be over 4 miles and end within 3 hours.
