Dr. Amineh Farzannia is an Assistant professor at the University of Connecticut-Stamford. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Missouri under super-vision of Prof.Peter Casazza. She has 16 years of experience of teaching Mathe-matics in 5 different states and played a central role in developing and expanding the Q-Center at UConn Stamford.
In this talk, we will explore the remarkable life and achievements of Maryam Mirzakhani, one of the most influential mathematicians of our time. Dr. Farzan-nia, an Iranian mathematician and educator, will discuss Dr. Mirzakhani’s early life and education in Iran, her groundbreaking academic career in the United States, and her profound contributions to mathematics.
