XMAS IN MAY! THURSDAY EVENING, 6PM, MAY 29, 2014

After a hiatus, please join us for fun and education evening and learn how to profit from stamp collecting! We'll show and tell about the why's and how's of stamps and their origins, ways to collect and sources (online and in person) to obtain stamps. Handling, storing, condition and grading, "eye appeal," valuing stamps and "investing' are other topics to be explored. Your questions will be answered and fact sheets distributed.

We will celebrate a belated Xmas! There're be presents of collecting accessories, books and magazines. A number of American classic stamps will be door prizes: Imperforate Washington stamp from 1851, Pony Express Rider from 1869, stamps from the Columbian Exposition of 1893 and 1901 Exposition. Packets of US and foreign stamps will also be distributed.

Empharise is on learning to be knowledgeable, even more so than a dealer and profit. Remember: Buy the book (and study it) before you buy the stamp! Knowledge is power!
