Comedian Anshita Koul gets a lot of annoying messages on Instagram on a daily basis, like:
"Hello Ma'am, Big Fan! What do you do ?" "Ma'am, what is your height?" "How are you, Ma'am?"
And she has wilfully turned these unpleasant pleasantries into comedy routines as one does. But in her new hour-long comedy storytelling special, Anshita will finally answer the most frequently asked question she gets on all social media platforms: "Where Is Your Husband?” by telling a short story long. Some people believe that she had a husband but lost him, some think he cheated on her and some think she never had one. Only Anshita knows the truth. And her therapist thinks it's time. Since Anshita is childfree by choice, she would like to pass on this trauma to her audiences with love.
Anshita Koul is a Berlin-based, internationally touring standup comedian from India. When she is not touring, she is performing, hosting and producing three comedy shows in Berlin (Comedy Bazaar, Word On The Street, Jokes' On Us) and a quarterly joke writing workshop.
Anshita made her debut in the standup world from the Indian reality TV show Queens of Comedy in 2017 and was most recently seen as the opening act for Emmy Award winning comedian Vir Das on his European tour in October 2024. Also seen on Funny Women Stage Awards 2022 in the UK and headlining several international shows all over Europe including Fringe Festivals. Anshita also headlined India's first ever Queer Comedy tour organized by Queer Rated Comedy.

On 3 October, the Alternative Expat Guide to Luxembourg returns with a comedy night that’s bigger, bolder, and funnier than ever.
Four top comedians will hit the stage with their best material in a one-of-a-kind show that mixes sharp stand-up, ridiculous games, and—because Luxembourg loves its secrets—a mysterious third thing.Expect belly laughs as hearty as a plate of Gromperekichelcher, and sore cheeks that make Monday’s office gossip feel like a spa day.
This is the comedy event of the season—the perfect antidote to a “serious” weekend. Don’t miss your chance to laugh Luxembourg into its next era!
Tickets cost €12 in advance or €15 on the door.
Space is tight so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.

Conny Gengler is a comedian from Luxemburg who is not afraid of self-
deprecation. Conny mostly talks about the things in life he does not
understand, which ironically are often the same things he thinks he does
understand. He performs in English, French and Luxemburgish and is
suffering from self-diagnosed MCSD (Multiple Comedy Styles
Disorder), as his comedy can swing from dark and raw to cynical,
absurd and downright silly, often in the same sentence.

Anne Bredimus (LUX)
Anne is a medical student by day and a comedian by night, known for her authentic mix of storytelling and observational humour. She’s performed in both English and German, shaped by her multilingual upbringing, and has shared the stage with acts like Nicole Travolta, Teddy Hall, and Bengt Washburn. A Comedy Slam finalist and part of the touring show from LGBTQties, Anne brings a sharp wit and queer perspective to every stage she steps on.

Jess is a writer and comedian who claims to have quit being a people pleaser, but let’s be real—she’s still saying “yes” to things she hates. These days, she’s hard at work perfecting her resting bitch face—just kidding, she still smiles at strangers in grocery stores like a weirdo.
When not performing around Europe, Jess is the author of Substack The Alternative Expat Guide to Luxembourg and likes to steal other people’s chips.
