Beautiful Scenery and Waterfalls at Bear Lake (near Sylva)

It has been cold but with any luck it will be warm for this paddle. Bear Lake has really beautiful scenery and has access to waterfalls. We paddled this last year and it was amazing. It is an hour and 20 minute drive from Asheville, probably less from West Asheville. If you want to check the GPS, we will go in at Bear Lake Boat Ramp. Our paddles are usually 4 to 6 miles but we take breaks.
I would bring a lunch since we will take our time exploring the lake. We will need to hike a short bit to get to the waterfall so I would wear walkable water shoes.
We will plan to launch at 11:15 AM so if you need to get there earlier than 11:00 AM, please do so. Feel free to arrange carpooling in the comments.
