The USS ASTRAEUS is returning to NAMI Walks Greater LA County Mental Health Fest as we continue to strive to make a positive impact in MENTAL HEALTH FOR ALL!
Please meet us at LA State Historic Park on Saturday, May 16 for the walk. The various super-cool booths open at 8:00 am. Then at 9:00 am, the event will begin.
7:00 -- Parking opens
8:00 -- Super-cool booths open
9:00 -- Open ceremony including advertised speakers, Jordan Chiles & Haley Hasslehoff
9:30: THE WALK itself
Rest of the event includes a stretch session, dance workshop, a doggie costume contest, dance therapy, wellness moments, & live music!
It is highly recommended that all wear comfortable shoes and clothing and bring items such as hats, sunglasses, etc. for the sun. Although the walk is approximately 3K in distance, please walk as little or as much as you would like to. There will be several cool booths at the park to check out, and there is usually a few food trucks available if you need a little food.
The NAMI Walk Charity is also a FUNdraiser! Please feel free to ask friends, family, co-workers (within reason of your job), etc. if they would like to donate to the cause. Members may also donate if they would like to, but are not obligated to do so. 100% of all donations go straight to NAMI Walks.
