Out of the Darkness Greater Los Angeles Santa Monica Walk

Please join us as we support prevention of suicide at the 2026 Out of the Darkness Greater Los Angeles Santa Monica Walk by American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) on Saturday, October 10! ANYONE can join us -- ASTRAEUS member, FLEET member, friends, family, etc. ANYONE is more than welcome!

Not only is Out of the Darkness a walk, it is also a fundraiser. If you can, please ask others for a donation or two -- remember, no amount is too small! AFSP has cool recognition gifts for certain amounts of fundraising on your personal page, including a t-shirts, a sweatshirt, a wireless charging desk organizer, 3-in-1 handwarmers & power bank, and more!

Please join us for the walk, even if you were not able to fundraise or donate. It will be lots of fun checking out the booths on the Santa Monica Pier and enjoying great company with great friends! And if you are in a wheelchair, we'll be more than glad to assist you if needed.

On Walk Day, please wear comfortable clothing, sunscreen, hats, etc. that is great for a walk. If you have a Star Trek shirt or Out of the Darkness shirt, that would be awesome to wear!

If you wish to wear your ship uniform, you may, but it is recommended to wear comfortable clothing for an outdoor walk.

Suicide prevention is a person passion for Captain Morgenthaler and many others. If you are not able to particpate, it would be awesome if you could spread the word to others out there!
