Join us for an in‑person Deep Space Nine watch party as we celebrate the 33rd anniversary of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine — a series that dared to ask harder questions, tell deeper stories, and live in the gray long before it was fashionable. This gathering is centered around the acclaimed feature-length documentary What We Left Behind, bookended by two memorable DS9 episodes that showcase both the lighter and darker sides of the station we all love.

We’ll be gathering at Starbase 6950 — easily accessible via shuttle (TriMet 78) or warp‑capable ground vehicles (plenty of free parking in the back). Doors open at 11:00 AM, and you’re welcome to beam in at any time throughout the event.

🥂 Bring snacks or drinks to share. We’ll take a natural break after the first episode for socializing and lunch before settling in for the documentary. If you’d like to contribute, feel free to note what you’re bringing in the event conversation below once you RSVP.

🖖 Event Itinerary:

  • 11:30 AM – “Take Me Out to the Holosuite” (DS9) – A lighter, fun episode to kick things off as we ease into the day together.
  • 12:15 PM – Social / lunch break – Stretch, snack, chat, and catch up before the main feature.
  • 1:00 PM – What We Left Behind – The Deep Space Nine feature-length documentary celebrating the show’s legacy, impact, and lasting relevance.
  • 3:15 PM – “In the Pale Moonlight” (DS9) – One of the series’ most powerful and defining episodes, closing out the day.

📍 Location Details:

  • Meeting at Starbase 6950, 3rd floor—just look for our United Federation of Planets flag!
  • Back doors will be unlocked; front doors are closed on weekends.

This watch party is designed to be relaxed, social, and welcoming — come for as much or as little of the day as you’d like. New and long‑time Trek fans alike are welcome. Whether Deep Space Nine is your favorite Trek or the one that changed how you think about the franchise, we’d love to celebrate it with you.

🔊 Accessibility Note:
For those who are hard of hearing, we have personalized listening devices available so you can control your own volume. Just bring your favorite pair of 3.5mm headphones or earbuds, and we’ll get you set up!
