About us

Stargazers Building Scopes Together Every Month is a space for anyone interested in the craft of telescope making. Whether you have been grinding your own mirrors for years or you are just starting to research your first project, this group is here to provide a bit of technical support and steady encouragement. Building an instrument from scratch is a rewarding but sometimes solitary process, and our goal is to bridge that gap by getting builders into the same room.

We meet once a month to share tips, troubleshoot design issues, and discuss the optics or mechanics we are currently working on. It is a casual environment where you can bring your unfinished projects, ask questions about materials, or simply talk shop with others who appreciate the details of building a scope. We hope to see you at the next meeting to help you get your project moving forward.
