Atlanta Stargazing 101: Decoding the Night Sky

If you have ever looked up at the night sky and wondered what you were actually seeing, this event is for you. We are hosting a casual evening dedicated to helping beginners get comfortable with the basics of astronomy. Whether you have never used a telescope before or just want to learn how to identify the major constellations visible here in Atlanta, you will find a welcoming space to ask questions and learn at your own pace.

We will spend the evening covering simple ways to navigate the stars, discussing how to choose basic equipment, and sharing tips on how to find the best dark sky spots around the city. Please dress for the weather and bring a folding chair if you want to get comfortable. We are looking forward to a relaxed night of learning and connecting with others who share an interest in what is happening above us.
