Walk with a Doc monthly community walks
Details
With hundreds of chapters around the world, Walk with a Doc inspires communities through movement and conversation.
Mark your calendars for our monthly event on the second Saturday of each month at 11am at Stubbs Park in Centerville!
This doctor-led walking group is a safe, fun, and FREE community event where you’ll take a walk (or roll) at your own pace, learn about a health topic, and meet new people.
Are you ready to take a STEP toward better health?
Join us the second Saturday of each month at 11am in Stubbs park in Centerville. We meet in the back shelter by the playground and back pond to start together as a group. There is a 8 minute talk from the docs--Dr. John Murphy of Sugarcreek Direct Family Care or Dr. Charlie Opperman from Simplicity Health-- and then we walk for 30-45 minutes. There are three paths to choose from shorter, moderate, and longer--accessible for all levels of walkers or rollers--and this event is open to the community so invite your friends and families!
The event is FREE and all are welcome! Future events will take place on the second Saturday of every month.

Did you know that regular physical activity like walking is one of the best things you can do for your health?
Walk with a Doc is a nonprofit started in 2005 by Dr. David Sabgir, a cardiologist in Columbus, Ohio. The program now extends around the world with hundreds of communities getting together to walk with local healthcare professionals on a regular basis. Each free event begins with a short health discussion, followed by the opportunity to walk together as a group.
