Session Description:
Employers have long invested in employee health and well-being, in order to manage healthcare costs and limit absence and disability. But the COVID-19 pandemic is driving new thinking about what it means to support employees, build culture of health, and ensure business continuity and sustainability. Changing definition of the work setting, historic impacts on mental health, transition in how people access healthcare, and growing focus on sociodemographic factors are all influencing strategy among progressive employers. This in turn brings new need and opportunity for innovation in this space, and with an accelerated timeline. We will discuss the evolution of employee health and well-being over time, key areas of focus going forward, and ways to think about industry solutions and partnerships.
